| ...I have something fun to tell....
My mother and I have taken to watching The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, The Big Valley, Bonanza, and other westerns together. I started writing fanfiction for Gunsmoke a couple of months ago. I finished another Gunsmoke with Lucas and Mark McCain (from The Rifleman) playing a very minor role. Also, I wrote one part of a ficlet for Bonanza, and is it just me, or does anyone else see Adam as a Tolkien fan?
All of my stories are humorous, and the only person, beside me, that I allow to read them is my mother. I mean, one story for Gunsmoke is set in Bass Pro Shop (Let's Shop), and another is at Cracker Barrel (Let's Eat). And I have a few that formed a little series, called The People of Dodge City On... These are where each character has 'their say' on various topics, like forms of recorded music, Wal-Mart, and computers. My favorites to write are Festus and Doc. I really enjoy writing Fetus' vernacular! I used to hate to read that kind of shit when sixth grade brought me to read Old Yeller. -_- The slang was so much, it not only hurt my mind, but my eyes too. LOL
It's lots of fun. I haven't written anything silly in years! When I started writing fanfiction, it was all Lord of the Rings themed. I was 12 or 13. My dad had bought me a laptop for my twelfth Christmas, and naturally, I ended-up reading Hermione/Snape fanfiction of various kinds, along with crazy LOTR fics. And who could forget the one with vampire!Harry Potter!? If you're into Draco/Hermione, I can still recommend a fic called Once Upon a Thyme. I have no idea who wrote it, but I bet it's still on FF.net. Can I just say 'timeturner'? ^_^
Oh! I did have part of a LOTR Christmas play written a few months ago, but after Christmas I wasn't into writing more of it in January. Pippin didn't like the idea of the elven costume he was to wear, even though he was now about four-feet tall, as they looked like they were meant for tiny Santa Clauses. That's all of that one! D:
It's now dark in here, like cave with floosy curtains. I better go now. ;)
