So, what do you like to read? (other than Tolkien, obviously)

Well, I like to read classics mostly. For some reason, I can't manage Pride & Prejudice past chapter two, but can read Lady Susan with delight. I used to be really big into fantasy, but I'm finding that I drifting to books sort of like Pearl S. Buck's works; sadly, the only book by her I have is a biography from the thrift store. Ha! I do have some Amy Tan and Lisa See stuff, though.

I'm different in that respect. I have read and reread Pride & Prejudice, but only managed to read Lady Susan once. I also need to watch the movie it was based on (Love and Friendship). Other than that, I like classics, a good old murder mystery (I have met Ian Rankin three times and no I was not stalking him hehehe), nonfiction, literary fiction, fluff, Terry Pratchett (sigh), Neil Gaiman, Bill Bryson, to name a few. Books rock!

I couldn't get into Terry Pratchett, but oddly enough, I really like Douglas Adams. I just about had a fit when I bought his five-book 'trilogy' for a dollar. Ha!

I too want to see that movie. I don't even know if it's out yet. (I really don't pay much attention to TV)

The movie came out in 2016. No idea when it will air on TV, though.

Oh! Also love Douglas Adams. He died way too young. :(

Didn't he, though? :( Have you watch Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie? Also, do you like Monty Python any? I haven't seen much of the show, but I love the 'Holy Grail' movie.

I have been mentally down for a good while, so naturally, haven't felt motivated much to play. I can play the piano, trumpet, Native American flute and ocarina I can play pretty good, and I'm teaching myself ukulele and tin whistle. :)
